2021 (E/M) Changes – Family Practice & Internal Medicine
*This program has the prior approval of AAPC for 1 (one) continuing education hours. Granting of prior approval in no way constitutes endorsement by AAPC of the program content or the program sponsor.
What will be covered?
The physician community has struggled with burdensome guidelines for reporting office visits and other E/M codes. As a result, electronic health records have inadvertently made it easy to add extraneous information to the patient record. To remedy this issue, the CPT Editorial Panel approved major revisions to the E/M office or other outpatient visit reporting guidelines and their code descriptions.
Attend this program by Healthcare Compliance and Revenue Cycle Management expert, Chinwe Okoronkwo Gaines, who will provide a step by step approach during the session so that Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physician practices can incorporate the revised E&M guidelines into their documentation immediately.
